TOP OF THE DAY

31 May 2006

this is part II of the wedding and also the most important. the proposal.

it took place in taiwan, with several other friends of theirs. and it was meant to be a surprise. so my brother in law din bring the guitar along, and have to buy it there.

that morning, they were supposed to go shopping or something, but friends faked tt they were tired, so din wana go along, only my sis and bil went out. and at the same time, the "tired" friends went to bought guitar.

never did friends expect tt they would meet the couple on the road after they bought the guitar. friends were in the north direction, while the couple was in the south.

friends saw the couple. bil saw friends. but sis miraclously missed them! hahahah they were holding their breath. phew. so the rest, as they said, is history....... enjoy the video!

"lets welcome the newly wed, Jason and Lilian"......

the song was played and my sister came walking into the grand hall of CHIJMES. i think this was the moment she was wating for in her life. everything was perfect. from the invitational card to the wedding photos to the dinner. absolutely wonderful.

the introductory video of them set me crying. even the waitress was laughing at me, this big-sized-yet-emotional bride's brother. the setting was really gorgeous. dimmed light, long walkway and THAT song. it was really beautiful.

everything was over soon after. and i knew from that moment onwards things wont be the same. the late night talk, the early breakfast. even the very very simple things like seeing each other everyday. i am so used to my sister presence that when she went overseas for a few days in the past i would feel strange that she wasnt at home. she is the most logical person in the family, whenever theres a quibble or anything, she would the coolest head of all, and she is defintely the most intelligent one in the house. she was everybody's DA JIE. well liked, well mannered, generous, joyous. she is everything. from good school, good grades, to good husband, she was associated with them all....

i know i shouldnt be emotion like my second sis said. "we should look at the better side ma, now we got one more brother, and maybe next time when they give birth we would have nephew and nieces. dont think it as losing, instead, it should be gaining!" ya true. but things are still different. i think it would be more difficult for my er jie. they shared the same room, she on the lower deck, da jie on the upper deck. they would talk talk talk until they fell asleep. sometimes i would hear laughters coming out of them room in the night. now the upper deck would be left empty. but maybe she isnt dealing it that badly, coz she is marrying soon i gues..

ok i shall stop being emo now. its a good thing after all! i wouldnt wanna see my sister being left on the shelf, would i ? we wont welcome u back and stay with us ok!? u better live happily ever after with your husband ( i know you are in good hands ) but come back more often ok? ):

oh no i think i am crying again T.T

p/s : i will upload the video and pictures soon! (in case you are interested)

woo hooo tml is my sister wedding! but the eve wasnt that great ): wanan go to queensway early to meet thia and buy jersey one. so pon lesson lor. but the guai lan doctor don wanna give me MC! why cant u jus give me one and make both of our lives easier? will giving me tt piece of paper hurt u so much that you have to protect it like your new born baby?

thanks to your dily dally-ing i got caught in such a HUGE rain. those who werent asleep at that time know what am i talking about. and i had to wait under a TREE for a taxi i know that isnt the wisest thing to do, especially when its a thunderstorm. but if i don, i will be like a sponge, absorbing all the rain. i heard that a few tress were being struck down by lighning. i am jus grateful that the trees along serangoon road is strong and study. or else tml no chijmes. it will be sgh.

and the damn cabbies! none wanna carry this poor little kid here, right under that tall tree. all siam me like kua tio gui. the green taxi light all become red hired or on call light. so zun meh? drive pass me then kana book. pui!

i took a bus in the end. i know very duh. but bo bian. got money no taxi. only got limo... which cost freaking 30 dollar. thanks but no thanks. reached queensway like damn late. thia oso hungry alr. so chop chop make the jersey. i do feel cheated by that guy though. but its still a good deal so still ok bah..

got a huge photo frame for my sister as her wedding gift! decided to use my creative juice instead of getting something which can be bought. ti gong bo bi i can complete it by tml!

shall update on the wedding soon! meanwhile can see my sister wedding photo...

received the bomb from thia the previous day...

KENSINGTON'S MANAGEMENT HAD BANNED SOCCER WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT.

oh no. i donoe where to start. i dint know kensington football had been so deeply embedded into me until this sense of losing knocked reality into my mind.

still remember tt day vividly. 4 years ago, after literature paper ( if i am not wrong ) i was asked to play soccer at some ulu place at serangoon. so i just followed yenhao there.

i dint know many people over there at the time, except for justin. and as expected i was the last to be selected and was asked to be a goalie. and boy, how i shone at the position. i was quickly aknowledged and became accquaintence with follow soccer lovers.

every friday would be kensington days. rain or shine. the squad simply grew bigger and better.

this ground had witnessed us growing up ( except darren ). shouting, celebration, blood, sweat and tears ( ok its me ) had formed part of the ground. i think not many non-residents, had been playing so consistently over there. the atmosphere there is simply crazily-soccery.....

this ground held many of us together. it caused the the A,B,C class to be bonded so well. i can safely say that almost all who play soccer in these classes and beyond, had been to kensington. point it to me if i am wrong. i reckon it gonna take me ages to name all the names who have been there. the passion for soccer is there for all of us to see. amazing. kensington had became another word for soccer in the thesaraus for us since.

people come and go, but the main spine of kensington fc have been there. whether there is 3, 8 , 14 or 20 players, kensington time IS good, enjoyable, fun-filled, satisfying and fufilling time. no one will be left behind here. everyone is brother, no grudges would be beared if someone made a mistake or hurt someone else. because we do all in the name of football and of the court.

bowling, pool, snooker, and basketball have been living in the shadow of SOCCER. and where is the best place to carry out all this?? guess we dont have to spell it out.

this is the very ground.

and now we are asked or rather, stopped, from playing soccer. i dont know who caused this, maybe we are the ones. but everyone is just here to have fun, and we would be very sorry if we had caused incovience to the residents, we have to respect that it is still, afterall a private housing estate. but our intentions weren't to disturb or do any monkey stunts, it is pure and simple, that is to play soccer in an enviroment that we are all too familiar with.

this is one hard pill to swallow, we will miss all the mari kita, pl, urinating at the tree, drinking water from the tap, bathing in the clubhouse. ok i know we still can go there, but just to drink water and bathe very funny right hahah..

nevertheless, the spirit of kensington shall never die! the regrets i have is not being able to play the last game and we hadn't taken enough pictures at the ground. but i am sure we will cherish all the memories we have had in the past.

p/s : sorry for being too emo, but i am sure someone will echo my views (: i got so much to say but i donoe how to express it.

have many new stuffs

get your pay

good food throughout the week ( well almost )

pon lecture to play dai dee like nobody business

many many lesson to attend

checked. checked. checked. checked. haha it would be better if i strike the 2.8M TOTO tonight. hahaha what? its free to dream ok??

have been wondering. what was after-school like in the past. these 3 weeks couldnt find anything to do. it have been school-home-slp-school-home-slp and the routine continues. friends are all either meeting girlfriends or still in school or plain lazy to go out. how how how. this cant go on. its DAMN lifeless. i don wanna be caught in a situation where i am nowhere here nor there. i am envious of those who really have interesting life outside school. i cant seem to be part of such stuff. its not that i am anti social huh. haha or perhaps i am shy. i still like a freshman in the school, very unfamiliar to me. sometimes i walk along the concourse then i would wonder, what am i here for? am i suppose to be here at all or am i just here to study 3 years then huh? then leave the place like just before i entered it, plain and ordinary.

urgh.

the campus care network day is coming. lol its sort of a school-wide funfair with all the food and games fair. BUT of all days, it have to take place on 26th. the same day as my sister's wedding. i came out with such a brillant idea ok? the mocktail bar would be a success but i wont be there ): hahaha just my luck man.

i want a watch, a bag, t-shirts, shorts, shirts, sneakers, watch poseidon, watch over the hedge, watch mi3, her! wahahaha

and oh ya i am so sweeeeeet LOL

worse possible end for the day.

- the aircon at your workplace appeared to be fake

- got sooooo pissed off by a friend

- waited a bus for 20 minutes before realising that there is no such bus.

- wasted another 20 mintues waiting for a cab in the rain, till so dulan that many people has jumped in the queue.

- going back to the bus stop and wait for the only bus available there. 2 fully packed bus zoomed by you.

- walk to the bus stop dont-know-how-far-away in the rain too.

- another packed bus zoomed by you. this time he stopped awhile and let the passengers have a good laugh at you, this loser.

- waited for another bus for another 20 minutes. ( i was going to punch the bus stop already when the bus was here )
- when your about to reach home, your sister ask you to buy "tau sar pau" and "lian rong pau" at the coffeeshop.

- the coffeeshop had their paus sold out.

- walked to the bakery and buy those kind of paus, only to see the disappointed face of my sister

finally i reached home..........
